Same as previous month!
February is still a cold winter month and I am still training indoors. Waiting for spring to enjoy my backyard gym and trying to keep myself motivated. As I did not improved my max reps count, at least I was able to stay at the same level. I am taking statins as usual, but half of previos dose, and it feels a little bit better. I am not so fatiqued anymore, as I wrote here, and I have only a little muscle pain sometimes after hard workout. This month I decided to give a little bit more variations to my exercises and routine, as I feel I was doing the same for a couple of months.
First workout of the month was on 4. of February, and I did 43 pull ups in total. I was doing only bodyweight pull ups this time. Felt good and powerfull this time:
- 10 pull ups, bodyweight
- 6 L-sit pull ups
- 8 chin ups
- 5 L-sit pull ups
- 7 pull ups, bodyweight
- 7 pull ups, bodyweight
Second was on 11. of February. Last two times I did only bodyweight pull ups, so I did few sets of weighted pull ups this time. And that made a difference! I was quite tired this time and did only 30 pull ups in total:
- 10 pull ups, bodyweight
- 4 pull ups, +17.5kg
- 6 L-sit pull ups
- 8 chin ups, bodyweight
- 2 pull ups, +17.5kg
Third workout was on 16. of February. This time I switched from circle routine to routine where I completed all pull up sets, then kind of dips sets (I was doing some similar exercises), then push up sets. It was harder and I felt that I exploited much more every muscle group. And I increased weight for weighted ones. In total I did 33 pull ups:
- 4 pull ups, +19kg
- 3 pull ups, +19kg
- 3 pull ups, +19kg
- 8 pull ups, bodyweight
- 6 chin ups, bodyweight
- 4 pull ups, bodyweight
- 5 pull ups, bodyweight
Fourth training was on 21. of February. I am glad I am not so fatiqued anymore, because of less dose of statins I have to take. It’s a good boost for motivation! And I did 40 pull ups this time:
- 10 pull ups, bodyweight
- 3 pull ups, +19kg
- 3 pull ups, +19kg
- 3 pull ups, +19kg
- 5 L-sit, bodyweight
- 6 pull ups, bodyweight
- 6 chin ups, bodyweight
- 4 pull ups, bodyweight
Fifth and last workout of February was on the date 28. As usually, during last training of the month I did max pull ups during first set. I did 40 pull ups in total during this workout:
- 14 pull ups, bodyweight
- 5 pull ups, L-sit
- 6 pull ups, wide grip, bodyweight
- 6 chin ups, bodyweight
- 4 pull ups, bodyweight
- 5 pull ups, bodyweight
So the max count was 14 again! Same as in January, but overall I felt better and stronger, and event thought to try one more rep at the end, but changed my mind. Because it is not worth to kip and squeeze out a dirty pull ups just for the bigger number. I hope I’ll do clean 15 next month 😉
