March – still 14 pull ups

March is gone, but still sitting at 14 pullups.

It looks like I have reached some hard to cross barrier – 14 reps. I did 5 upper body workouts during this month, was working quite hard, but still couldn’t do 15 reps. One thing I know I need to change is, I need to do more different exercises and change my routine time by time. I have the same routine for several months now. For now, I am working out more like on autopilot – every workout almost the same routine. I know it is bad, but…I will change it some day soon.

First workout was on 08. of March, quite long pause from last one. But I felt strong and did 38 pull ups in total.

Next time was on 14. of March. I did only 25 pull ups, I just felt too tired that day and decided to make it easier.

Third workout was on 18. of March. As usual, started with weighted pullups, and did couple of L-sit sets. Did 36 reps in total.

Fourth was on 23. of March and I did a lot of reps – 40 in total.

Fifth and last workout was on 28. of March. Started with max reps set. Did only bodyweight sets, 47 reps in total.

  • 4 pull ups, L-sit
  • 7 pull ups, bodyweight, wide grip
  • 4 chin ups, bodyweight
  • 6 pull ups, bodyweight
  • 5 pull ups, bodyweight

My max count was still 14 reps. A little bit disappointed, but just a little bit. 🙂 I know I was training quite hard, so results will improve later. I need to get off trainig on autopilot. My routine should be changed to achieve better results. Just had a lot of other things to do this month. I sold both of my cars and bought another one. It took some time to do that. And had a lot of other family related things to do, so I didn’t had enough energy to do some research and just think about better routine.

But as allways – it’s better to do usual routine, than not exercising at all! 😉
